The Conversation

The Conversation is a limited edition artist’s book, designed and printed by Macy Chadwick, about the challenges of verbal communication. Layers of colorful shapes reach in from the edges of the pages like two people leaning towards each other in intimate dialogue. Lines of poetry describe a conversation as a façade of abstract forms and patterns where words can be looked at but are inevitably misunderstood.
